Hi,
I notice the Rocket 10 watt Acoustic Amplifier has a CD input. Could I use the CD input for my microphone? So I can plug my guitar and
microphone in at the same time. If not, do you have a cheap amplifier with an input for the guitar and an input for a microphone?
I have been playing folk clubs for 35 years, but I'm teaching my grandson so I don't want anything expensive.
Cheers Rob

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your email.
You can use the CD input for an external sound source like a microphone, but the microphone will need to be self powered (either by mains or batteries) and may need amplifying. Added to this the sound quality wouldn't be great either - it is after all designed for backing tracks or songs to play along to.
For dual-inputs on a budget, I'd recommend the Rocket 20 watt Acoustic Amplifier, which is the larger version of the Amp you were looking at but crucially comes with an XLR input for a microphone or other instrument.
For a suitable microphone you might like to consider the Rocket MD-1500 or for a little more money the Shure PG58.
