Serious about Guitars? Check out Yamaha's APX/CPX Electro-acoustic range!

The APX series is designed with a thin-line body for incredible comfort, easy top-fret access and a sound perfectly suited to on-stage use with bright, clear mids, balanced highs and controlled lows. Specially designed non-scalloped X-type bracing allows the guitar’s top to sing and maximizes the resonance of the unique body shape for a full, natural tone. With dynamics, sensitivity and clarity built into the design from day one, APX is a guitar not to be underestimated.

The APX500II is the world's best selling electro acoustic guitar - if you get the chance to play one, you'll see why. We consistently point customers towards this guitar when they ask for some advice. It combines playability with fantastic value for money. It's impossible to find a better guitar for under £300.

The CPX Compass Series is a collection of finely crafted guitars, placing emphasis on playability with exceptional tonal woods and bodywork adorned with beautiful inlays and exquisite finishes. The CPX guitar line features a full body design that has more than enough volume to achieve excellent acoustic resonance.

In terms of cosmetics, the various models feature beautiful white/black double abalone sound hole inlays, ivory fingerboard & head stock binding, ivory/black body binding, maple bottom inlays, mother-of-pearl CPX & Yamaha headstock logos and mother-of-pearl/abalone position markers, as well as coming in some amazing color variations. Each one of these guitars is a stunning work of art both sonically and visually.

They also feature the newly developed A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) 3-way preamplifier system. This innovative new preamplifier system utilizes four amazing contact pickups that dramatically reduce feedback while achieving rich, beautiful and natural tones - a major improvement to the piezoelectic pickups that Yamaha use.
