Rosin
Something no string player should ever be without - essential for helping the bow play the strings. As you draw the bow back and forth, be aware of the amount of effort it takes to move the bow. It never takes much, but you will find that as more and more rosin clings to the hair it will become easier and easier to draw or push the bow across the cake. Rosin for all instruments can be found here.
Strings
We all hate breaking a string, either while tuning or worse, playing. With a spare set to hand, there's no excuse for not practicing. I recommend the Forenza strings - with a steel core these offer maximum longevity and great value for money. Normans Strings.
Tailgut
The Tailgut fixes the tailpiece the instrument. It shouldn't be underestimated how much difference a good quality Tailgut can make to the sound. In the unlikely event of loss or damage, this is an essential part of the instrument as you can't play without one! See our range here.
Bridge
It's very rare that a bridge breaks, but it does happen. For ultimate peace of mind, you can have a spare ready to put in at a moments notice. Get the bridge to suit you here.
Cello Floor Protector
This one only applies to 'Cellists - apologies to the rest of you! - but only they will understand how annoying a tiled floor can be when they're trying to hold the bulk of the cello in that awkward open legged position, play AND read music while it's trying to slide away by itself. Don't worry - these rubber bungs are harmless to the instrument and help to keep it stable while you're playing. Grab yours here.
Humidifier
Variation in temperature and humidity levels are inevitable. To this end, all modern instruments are built with this in mind. A humidifer however offers extra protection against cracking and warping by keeping it at a constant level of humidity. Recommended by leading orchestral players, it is an ideal accessory to give longevity to your instrument's tone and appearance. Choose your instrument here.
