The DGX-650 offers the playability of a real acoustic piano with a comprehensive suite of auto-accompaniment and performance functions that let you give form to your musical inspirations with ease.
Now featuring the acclaimed Pure CF sound engine, the DGX650 replicates the sound of a Yamaha CFIIIS full concert grand piano, meticulously tuned and sampled under carefully controlled conditions to reproduce the authentic tone and resonance of this superb instrument with amazing fidelity. The piano recording was taken from the exact piano chosen by the winner of the International Chopin Piano Competition. This is a huge upgrade from the AWM sampling of the DGX640.
The polyphony has also been doubled, from 64 to 128 notes.
The style factor is also improved - the DGX650 is available in Black or White finishes
The piano also utilises the Graded Hammer Standard keyboard which gives the feel and response of a real piano keyboard, with heavier keys in the bass and lighter keys in the treble.
Further improvements include a new, easy to read screen with smart chord technology, style suggestions and a music/chord/lyric display, USB ports to allow for easy file transfer and an AUX in connection so you can play songs from your CD player, phone or other portable music player through the DGX650's speakers and play along to your favourite songs.
That's not all - you can upgrade your DGX piano with the optional LP-7 Piano Pedalboard, which fixes to the stand and allows you a little more expression than the standard sustain pedal. On top of that, the Piano also allows you to output the sound through the speakers even when using headphones, perfect for when you want to use the speakers as monitors during performances onstage.
For the musician who does a little of everything, this is the perfect all-in-one, do-it-all instrument.
