Hi All,

We have received a charge back today from a telephone order that based on our current fraud procedures was not picked up. It was nobody's fault as I would have let this one go too but looks like we need to tighten up further to beat the scammers!

The attached image shows the fraudulent transaction in question, which was paid for using a Norwegian card but a UK billing and shipping address was given. Sagepay DO NOT check addresses for cards registered overseas, they merely contact the bank to confirm funds are available. You will notice from the screenshot that the Add and PC shields are blank although the T3M one is Green.

In future if the Add or PC fields are blank then you must call Sagepay to ask whether the delivery address given has been associated with this card previously. If not, DO NOT let the goods go, if you're still unsure after speaking with Sagepay please talk to me or Gareth before anything is despatched.

When I finally get the new warehouse system working we will have the facility to flag orders awaiting authorisation/fraud results so that they cannot be picked until that flag is removed. More details to follow.....

In the meantime, please just keep looking out for anything unusual when processing orders/payments and if in any doubt don't send anything!

Thanks

Andy
