There are so many makes and models on the market, choosing your first guitar can be a bit overwhelming...

There's plenty to choose from at Normans too, but we've singled out some of what we think are the best beginner guitars - all at under £200!beginneracoustic.jpg

The Rocket SW203 offers the best value for money, coming in at under £60! Don't let the price fool you in to thinking it's no good though - featuring Basswood back, sides and top, there's still a very nice tone to be had from it. This is the ideal beginners guitar, perfect for the musically curious or students on a budget.

The Yamaha F370 isn't their cheapest acoustic guitar, but it's certainly one of their best budget models. This features a solid spruce top, which really improves the sound and gives it a very nice tone. At under £150, this guitar really punches above it's weight limit and plays like a much more expensive model. Well worth considering.

The Tanglewood Evolution TW28 is the last stop before the guitars climb above £200 and into the more intermediate/advanced areas. Featuring a Cedar top with Mahogany back and sides, the different tonewoods used in this guitar give it a very individual tone. Benefiting from Tanglewood's expertise in the guitar market, even this budget model has the feel of something more expensive. At just over £160, this really is a steal.
