Classical Guitars make the ideal first purchase for the musically curious or the young player.

Nylon strings make an ideal starting point for younger, softer hands as they don't have the thin edge and bite of steel strings. They're also cheaper than any other type of guitar, at the lower end.

Here's 3 models below that we think offer great value for a first time player.

The Rocket C542 is an ideal 'budget' guitar. This features a Linden top, back and sides and comes in a range of colours as well as the Natural finish above. For under £50 it's a bargain for a beginner. Having played several the quality is good and consistent.

Some seriously underrated guitars run in the Jose Ferrer Estudiante range. These are designed by teachers specially for students and offer many of the benefits of the Rocket guitar above, but with a little more style - the soundhole particularly features a funky roundel design.

If you'd like to spend a little more money initially, it's well worth looking at the Yamaha C40. This guitar features a solid spruce top with meranti back/sides and even includes an instruction book with a lesson DVD. This is Yamaha's entry level Classical guitar and is well worth considering as a longer term investment.

All of the guitars above are full sized, but they all come in different sizes to suit different players. If you need a different size please check our website or contact a member of our Sales Team.
