There are so many models of violin on the market, it's hard to know what's best for a beginner.

Thankfully, Normans have managed to reduce it down to two models for you!

The Forenza Prima 2 was designed in conjunction with Strings Teachers from across the country specifically with students in mind and is available exclusively from Normans. The result is an instrument perfect for first time players. The hand carved Prima bodies feature solid ebony fingerboards and inlaid purfling, and are made from selected tone woods. Ebony pegs, nuts and saddles are fitted as standard together with high calibre (rope core) strings and metal tailpieces with integral adjusters.

Not only that, but it also comes with a lightweight, robust case with carrying straps and a bow and rosin - everything you need to get started for under £65! This is becoming increasingly popular with schools nationwide.

Historically popular with students and teachers alike, the Stentor II model has a good reputation in the education sector. Coming with exactly the same specification and accessories as the Forenza above, the Stentor II is a quality instrument and carries a well respected name.
