Morning All,
A few bits of warehouse related info.
Stock Allocation
Ken did a system update this morning which removed the auto allocation from our orders. This basically means that when you put an order onto the system the line will still show as Due Order as opposed to Fully Allocated as it used to. This is correct and the new system will pick in order of priority rather than allocated stock. If anyone spots any lines that are still allocated on new or back orders please talk to me.
Order Priority
Now that the above has been changed we can use the Order Priority logic on the new picking system (Despatch manager). Priorities are from 0 - 9 with 0 being highest and orders with a priority 9 cannot be picked. therefore, if you want an order held (eg. pending payment clearance) then set it to 9 and the warehouse won't be able to pick it. Standard/Normal orders should automatically be assigned a priority 5, please make sure all your manual orders have this priority and let me know if not.
New Staff
I'm pleased to announce that Lizzie will shortly be moving from the Warehouse to Sales and whilst this will be a boost for Hayley and her team it does leave Dan with a space to fill. I don't really want to advertise this position via facebook as I'm sure we would be inundated with responses but before I approach the agencies thought I'd try another route. Do any of you have family/friends looking for work who you think would be an asset to Dan's team? If so, please let me know and ask them to email their cv and a covering letter to jobs@normans.co.uk. It is not a requirement for them to be musical but obviously if they do have a passion for music it would be an advantage. I'll hold off until the end of the week before going down my usual routes so please let me know asap of anyone that may be interested/suitable.
Kitting
......coming soon to a warehouse near you!
Thanks
Andy
