Hi,
I play the Euphonium and am working towards my Grade 6, my teacher says I need a 4 Valve instrument, what would you recommend?
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,
I have been looking at Grade 6 Standard, 4 Valve Euphoniums, and have some suggestions for you.
Firstly, the BE1065-2-0 by Besson:

And secondly, the JEP-570L by Jupiter. Please see:

These are both great instruments - however, as you may know, a player at Grade 6 is approaching the requirement for a more advanced instrument.
Although my above recommendations will be fine at this level, the progression to Grade 8 and beyond will demand a more advanced instrument. If you have the budget available, and want a 'future proof' instrument, then I would then recommend the following:
Besson BE967-2-0. Please see:
http://www.normans.co.uk/p-287-besson-sovereign-be967-euphonium-in-silver.aspx
or
Yamaha YEP642. Please see:

Before you order, you will need to let me know which finish you want to go for. Yamaha do great silver and lacquer finishes, although with Besson I would definitely recommend choosing a silver finish, as we think this is much superior to their lacquer counterparts.
One final note - to help your budget go further, you can also take advantage of "Pay4Later" - this allows you to pay for your chosen instrument on a month by month basis, with low-rate and interest-free options. You will find the Pay4Later option on our webpages for each of these products.
I hope I have assisted you in making a decision. If you're ready to place an order, or need any other help or advice, give me a call on 01283 535 333.
Thanks
Kind regards
