Hello,

I have an old Casio Celviano – AP 80R and would like to buy a new machine.

I like having different voices – organ, piano, harpsichord etc but I do not use the rhythm sections or recording.

I do not like Korg or Roland – at least I did not when I heard some last year.

Up to about £750. But there may be a cheaper one.

What machines would you suggest?

Thanks

Bryan Wilson

Good morning Bryan,

Many thanks for your email.

There are a number of digital pianos that I could suggest for you - however as you have already owned a Casio, and as they are very very good quality keyboards, I will start by suggesting some updated Casio models that I think will be of interest to you.

All of the following models are 88-note keyboards, and feature the voices you mentioned (organ, piano, harpsichord, etc.)

Firstly, the Casio Celviano AP-245. Please see the following:

For a step up, the Celviano AP-250. Please see the following:

And lastly, the Privia PX-850. Please see:

The Privia PX-850 is an excellent digital piano which I would highly recommend. However, this is coming a little over your budget, at £799.99. If you wanted to go ahead and order this one, I would be happy on this occasion to offer it to you for £749.99. I could offer this to you with the "package", meaning we would throw in a free piano stool and headphones for you as well.

I will also suggest one more digital piano - the Axus S2. This comes with a huge range of features, all for a really competitive price. Please see the following link:

If none of these keyboards strike you as suitable, we also sell many digital pianos by Yamaha. However my above suggestions are based on the requirements you mentioned - a quality keyboard, with a good range of voices and without the need for accompaniments or recording.

You may also find that the layout of functions on the Casios are similar/identical to the Casio you already own.

Please note that any keyboard purchased through Normans will also come with a free 5 year warranty, as well as free delivery.

If you would like to place the order, or have any other enquiries, please don't hesitate to give me a call on 01283 535 333.

Thanks,

Kind regards,
