Hello,
I purchased a Yamaha E433 last year and found the service from Normans to be excellent
I'm now seriously looking to purchase a Yamaha CVP601 or a CVP605 Digital Piano. I am not too bothered about what colour. I'm just wondering what the cost of these two pianos would be (delivered to Surrey). Many thanks.
Kind Regards
Ian

Good morning Ian,
Many thanks for your email.
As you have mentioned two different digital pianos here, I thought I would start by highlighting some of the differences between them, to assist you with your choice.
Although both of these are excellent digital pianos, the CVP-605 is a step up from the CVP-601, as it features more voices, styles and effects, an extra set of speakers, as well as supporting MP3 recording and playback. I will now go through some of these differences with you in a bit more detail.
SCREEN
The CVP-601 has a 4.6" monochrome LCD screen, while the CVP-605 has a 7" LCD screen in colour.
POLYPHONY
This is how many notes (including sustained notes) that can be heard at once. The CVP-601 has 128, while the CVP-605 has double this amount, with 256 note polyphony.
VOICES AND DRUM KITS
There are 387 voices, and 22 drum kits in the CVP-601, whilst there is a massive 847 voices and 28 drum kits in the CVP-605.
STYLES, SONGS AND EFFECTS
The CVP-601 has 257 preset styles, and 65 songs, while the CVP-605 has 420 preset styles and 124 songs. While they both have a large amount of effects, the CVP-605 has a large number of extra effects - including 297 insertion effects, 295 variation effects and 60 vocal harmony effects, which are not features of the CVP-601.
MEMORY
There is actually more internal memory in the CVP-601 than the CVP-605 - 2.8 MB compared to 2.5 MB.
RECORDING/PLAYBACK
The CVP-601 supports .WAV files while the CVP-605 supports .WAV and .MP3 files.
SPEAKERS AND AMPLIFIERS
There are and 2 x 25 Watt Amps in the CVP-601, and 2 x 16cm speakers. The CVP-605 has 2 x 45 Watt amps, 2 x 16cm speakers, and an extra 2 x 5cm speakers.
CONNECTIVITY
The CVP-605 has extra connectivity options, including a Video Out and a Microphone Input (with volume control).
As I mentioned previously, these are both excellent digital pianos, but with the CVP-605 standing out with its higher spec and increased number of features. Although some of the differences and increased sounds may not necessarily be significant enough to warrant paying extra and choosing the CVP-605, the colour screen, extra speakers and microphone input are all great improvements that can really enhance the performing and practising experience.
Moving on to cost, our price on the website for the CVP-601 is £2199, or £2549 if you go for the polished ebony finish.
The CVP-605 is not listed on our website and is not something that we stock, however we can order this in for you - the normal price would be £3610 for a black walnut finish. If you want to give me a call, I can discuss this further with you - we may be able to throw in a couple of freebies as well.
With regards to delivery cost - any order over £50 from Normans automatically qualifies you for free delivery. We will also give you a free 5 year warranty on this item as well.
I hope this information has been of some use in helping you decide between these two great Clavinovas. If you need any more details, have any other questions, or would like to go ahead and place the order, please don't hesitate to contact me on 01283 535 333.
I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Eamon Kayani
