My son has just started taking lessons at school and in order for him to practice and improve I'm thinking of getting him a drum kit, therefore which ones would you recommend?
He's 10 years old, so would you say a junior one is better or a full size one, plus I don't want to spend loads yet just in case it's a 5 minute wonder.
Any help you can provide is appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart

Hi Stuart,
Thanks for your e-mail.
Choosing the right drum kit is unfortunately hard when we do not know the height of your son. However, I would recommend a full size drum kit rather than the junior. This is because you can adjust the full size to his height now and you can also be confident that as he gets older you don't have to upgrade straight away. This will also make playing a lot more comfortable for him.
I would recommend the Rocket TIM122 5 Piece 22in Drum Kit (http://www.normans.co.uk/p-2026-rocket-tim122bk-5-piece-22in-drum-kit-in-black.aspx). It is a robust kit and comes with everything you need for a beginner at a great price. It is also available in 3 colours.
I hope this helps with your decision. If you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me on 01283 535333 option 1.
Many thanks.
Kind regards
Lizzie Ball
