Hi,

I need to get my son who is learning the piano a new keyboard that is full size and has a good action, ideally for around 250 pounds.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Shehan

Dear Shehan,

Thanks for your email. As a piano specialist at Normans, I am in a good position to recommend the best item!

What you would be looking for is some kind of "Digital Piano". All of our digital pianos are full size (88-notes), and they have a weighted action (to feel like a real piano). None of the "portable keyboards" have this feature.

Unfortunately, our digital pianos start at just above the £250 area that you mentioned! The lowest priced digital piano that we sell is the Axus Digital AXS2, which is priced at £299. Please see the following link:

This digital piano is popular because it is packed with features, but at an affordable price. This would be an ideal option for your son. It also sounds and looks great.

The next one up would be the Casio CDP-120. As you may know, Casio is a well established and popular brand for keyboards. This one is priced at £315. Please see the following link:

This piano sounds excellent, and I would highly recommend it for your son, as well as the Axus AXS2.

I am sorry that I could not offer you something nearer to the £250 mark. I hope you find one of the above suggestions to be suitable!

Note that we will deliver either of these digital pianos for free within mainland UK, and you will also get a 5 year warranty.

Please let me know if you need any further advice, or if you would like to order one of these items - I can be reached on 01283 535 333.

I look forward to your response - thanks!

Kind regards,
