Everything you need is here:

S:\Normans Web & Catalogue\Argos\Inventory Managment

The stock calculator spreadsheet does 2 things:

  1. It uses Q&A to bring in the stock level for the single part products
  2. It references the Norm Kit export (that you'll create as part of this process) for the multiproduct items

Outline:

First, you have to prepare the Norm Kit export. This export file will then also serve for the Very Group stock update.

Once the Norm Kit export is updated, you can open the stock calculator, log into Q&A, recalculate the worksheet, and trigger the upload template to automatically fill itself in before you save it and upload it to Argos.

You just need to remember to save a copy of the upload template before copying and pasting special values so that you don’t upload formulas to Argos, and you preserve the template and its automatic functionality.

Instructions:

  1. Export and prepare Norm Kit to the default Export folder and label the file: mmnormkit
    1. Open Opera > Supply Chain Management > Utilities.
    2. Click Norm Kit

  4. Make sure Calculation Options are set to Automatic
  5. Save the file as an Excel Spreadsheet (.xlsx) and close it.

Open the Stock Calculator and click “Enable Content” in the Security Warning bar at the top of the page.

Click “OK” and then “Continue”.

  1. Log into Q&A
  2. Click the Recalculate Worksheet button
  3. Log out of Q&A
  4. Hit Take Me to Your Template!
  5. Save the new upload as a new document before copying all and pasting as special values.
  6. Upload to the Edge (Products>Import/Export>Stock Import>Choose File)

Done!
